Joining the Glacier Hills volunteer family begins with completing an online volunteer application form. You can find this form on "Volunteers" page of the Glacier Hills website https://www.trinityhealthseniorcommunities.org/michigan/glacier-hills/about-us/volunteer/.
Volunteer opportunities are offered seven days per week. Volunteers may choose a weekly shift or sign-up for special volunteer opportunities on a more flexible basis. Volunteers help residents engage in daily Life Enrichment Activities, including exercises, art, small groups and activity carts. Musician volunteers share their musical talents. Volunteer participation in larger events such as concerts, parties, and holiday decorating also enriches the lives of residents.
Some volunteers spend time one-on-one with a resident. They might read a book, write letters, visit the Glacier Hills library together or stroll in the garden. In addition, those interested in serving in a spiritual capacity can find many opportunities on our campus through coordinating with our Chaplain. Background check required.
Volunteers must be at least 13 years old. Groups welcome. For more information, contact the Volunteer Coordinator at VolunteerGH@trinity-health.org for more information.
