The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. As this natural disaster unfolds, the staff here at VolunteerMatch is doing its part to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you are prepared and safe. COPE's 211 service has been designed to strengthen the health and human service information and referral provider network in the Walton County area through advocacy, coordination and education.
As a result of our commitment to human services in Walton County, we have received certification through the Florida Alliance of Information and Referral Services (FLAIRS) to become a 211 service provider. This certification attests that COPE has taken the needed steps, as an Information & Referral (I &R) program, to provide the highest quality of services to the individuals and agencies we desire to serve.
We need volunteers to man the phones for our citizens and provide help for their needs 24/7.
