At the Petsmart locations, volunteers are needed to commit to one or more days per week. You would be cleaning the cages, exercising the rabbits and talking to the people shopping at Petsmart about rabbit care. You can go any time the store is open (usually 9am to 9pm). Volunteers must be 18 or older or 16 or older AND accompanied by an adult over 18. Help save the lives of homeless bunnies by helping them find loving homes.
Specifically, we are looking for a volunteer for Mondays ongoing at the Vista location.

Mission Statement
A non-profit public benefit corporation rescuing and rehoming animals in need
Description
- Animal rescue - take in homeless cats, rabbits and horses or animals at risk of being homeless or abused- we are made aware of animals in need of rescue through other organizations contacting us by either phone or internet. Most shelters attempt to notify "rescue partners" prior to euthanizing animals. We try to take in animals that have "run out of time" at other shelters or rescues. We also take in homeless animals from private citizens if the animal fits into our program and if we have space. These people find us through internet and phone directories and any rescue lists we are registered with
- Education to the public to reduce the numbers of homeless animals - Provide education to help people successfully keep their pets and to help them consider if they are prepared to commit to a new animal prior to taking it on- we have printed an d e-mail versions of educational materials (articles and brochures) we give to potential adopters and people wanting to relinquish their pets. We try to educate and inform potential adopters so they fully understand the commitment and responsibilities that come with a new animal. Once they have the animal, we help trouble shoot any issues they might have. For instance, we help problem solve is a cat is house soiling, clawing on furniture, not getting along with the family dog, etc
