The Community Computer Alliance has an URGENT NEED for a Volunteer Manager Intern! The CCA is a Columbus-based nonprofit focusing on job force development for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities through an e-waste recycling program. We’re looking for an intern interested in developing real-world skills and experience overseeing our volunteer program.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Post volunteer ads and maintain those ads
  • Schedule volunteers (complete the scheduling process)
  • Recruit volunteers
  • Research local companies
  • Train and work hands-on with the volunteers
  • Maintain volunteer records

Skills You Will Gain Working at CCA:

  • Volunteer management
  • Customer service
  • Relationship management and development
  • Data entry
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Public speaking
  • Event coordination
  • Operational workflow

Qualities:

This position requires someone who works well with others and is responsible. You will be working hands-on with many types of people; you must be a people person! You must be friendly, personable, and approachable.

To get the most out of the internship experience, we require a 4-6 month commitment to the program.

Community Computer Alliance (CCA) is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that empowers individuals, improves our communities, and aids in conserving our world - one computer at a time. CCA provides workforce development and job readiness opportunities for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities through our strategic partnerships. Our job readiness program is directly fueled by our licensed and bonded electronic recycling services, which provides career assessment opportunities and long-term internships to individuals who are interested in learning more about technology-a skill that is highly marketable, but unattainable to adults with disabilities. Participants in our program learn job discovery, team work, and personal growth to promote future employment opportunities.
