This opportunity calls for a volunteer who can be a friend to a wonderful woman in Bellerose, Queens. Although she speaks English she would love the opportunity to speak in her native tongue. In her younger years she was an avid traveler so she has so many stories she would love to share with a friend. Mission Statement
Services Now for Adult Persons, Inc. has accepted the challenge of being dedicated to the needs of older adults. SNAP provides direct services to enhance their quality of life. We also provide coordination of case plans, advocacy and linkages to community resources to assist our clients and to prevent premature institutionalization
Description
Services Now for Adult Persons Volunteer program is two-fold.
1. We help active senior citizens find volunteer opportunities in the community.
2. We recruit any age volunteers to assist homebound and more frail senior citizens in their every day needs. From just having tea and chatting to shoveling snow, all volunteers are so welcome and so appreciated.
