Want to make a difference in the lives of others? Do you have a morning or afternoon once a week to volunteer?

You CAN help behind the sceens at the United Way of Marion County's office by working at the front reception desk, This position is very important as it is the hub of all activity. United Way staff and senior volunteers will train you so that you are comfortable with the main duties of the front desk. You will mainly be doing the following:

  • Answer phones with a smile in your voice and transfer call to staff.
  • Greet and direct visitors to the office
  • Provide support services to the work of the agency in a variety of ways which may include, making copies, mailing materials, sorting supplies, and special project assistance..

Currently, shifts are morning ( 9 - 1 p.m.) and afternoon ( 1 - 5 p.m.). Monday - Friday.
