Are you a social worker looking for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of persons touched by cancer? The American Cancer Society HopeClub is looking for social workers interested in volunteering to lead a support group of survivors, one for friends and families, and for children. Cancer is a devastating disease and these groups make possible the peer support process and provide the opportunity to develop healthy coping skills and strategies for self-advocacy. For more information about HopeClub, visit www.cancer.org/hopeclub. To discuss this opportunity, call Joni at 518-220-6964 or joni.richter@cancer.org.
