"The Light Within" is a reflection of our mission, to help our children find that light within themselves, and to always; let it shine, let it shine, let it shine!

Greetings from Central Area Youth Association!!

We welcome you to join our onsite Remote Learning Academic Program.*

Our program is compliant with Washington state Governor's guidelines, and the CDC. We practice social distancing, the wearing of masks, personal hygiene, and building guidelines are all a part of our mandatory policy for COVID-19. We are an ELO provider and our program has been approved by Seattle Public School district.

Ages; 7-11 Maximum amount of kids allowed: 8

Our youth will be focused on their homework first, and then after completion they can learn coding, creating games and apps, but our main focus is for them to continuously improve and strive for being the best they can be!

If you are young or young at heart, but energetic, WE NEED YOU!

We need volunteers and mentors who are passionate about education, especially S.T.R.E.A.M. education to our inner city youth! We make it fun for them, in a culturally competent environment. Not everyone learns the same, but everyone has the capacity to learn. We encourage creative learning styles! Inner city youth often times do not have access to learning opportunities and new skill sets. High on our wish list is computer coding, so those who are interested in teaching computer coding, a passion to enrich young minds, and have good communication skills, we would love to hear from you.

Here is a chance to be a part of making someone else's life bright! We have a computer center, secured wi-fi, goodies to eat to keep our youths brain functioning at maximum capacity. We also have relaxation classes and exercises for optimal health; accessible to students, volunteers and mentors.

If you have a degree in the social or behavioral sciences that is a plus but not required.
Common work experience and working with youth is mostly what we need.

Give us a call if this fits you! There may be a virtual opportunity as well, we can discuss that option if you are interested.

CAYA at 119 23rd Ave, Seattle 206-322-6640. Please leave a message if no one is available to speak to you personally when you call.

THANK YOU!

Team CAYA!

*We are proud to state that during COVID-19, our program has not had any incidents or illnesses related to COVID-19, as we have strict guidelines that we adhere to in our operations.
