MAM is looking for volunteers to help in our Family Assistance program! And we are especially in need of bilingual (English/Spanish) volunteers. MAM's Client Interviewers meet with individuals and families and help determine their needs and eligibility for assistance such as help with rent or utilities, clothing, prescriptions, etc. They also routinely provide clients with referral information regarding other MAM programs and services as well community resources. Training is provided and moderate computer skills are required.
The commitment is for a 3-hour shift, one day per week (same day each week) and there is a minimum 3-month commitment as well. It is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in working directly with clients, a student who would like to gain some experience and/or someone who is interested in the social services field.
Current openings include a Monday afternoon position from 1pm-4pm.
