At Crisis Intervention Service, volunteer advocates are a vital part of the services we provide to individuals and families. As a volunteer advocate, you are part of a professional team that is working to educate and empower survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as providing options that the individual may not originally be aware of. Outside of CIS, volunteer advocates can serve as a link between CIS and the community that they live in. Opportunities are available in all 15 counties we serve in North Central Iowa.
Ways YOU can help CIS include: On-call advocacy; legal and medical advocacy; prevention and community education and awareness; transportation; maintenance; office support; SO much more!
Victim Counselor Training will be provided. Contact the Volunteer Coordinator today for more information.
