Love the Little Free Library in your neighborhood park? Help the Woodland Public Library keep it's Little Free Libraries stocked.
"Give a book, Take a book."
The Woodland Little Free Library project has Little Free Libraries in parks around town. We are looking for people willing to be caretakers for a Little Free Library near them. Caretakers check on the library a few times a month or more while visiting the park. When the library is low on books, the caretaker stops by the Woodland Public Library to pick up more books for the Little Free Library and takes them there.
Little Free Libraries are a great way to get books into our community and share the love of reading with children.
Little Free Libraries looking for caretakers are at Woodside Park, Beamer Park, Fern Park, City Park, Crawford Park, Pioneer Park, Jack Slaven Park and the Woodland Community and Senior Center.
The Public Library is dedicated to free and equal access to information, knowledge, independent lifelong learning, cultural enrichment, and the joys of reading for our diverse community.
Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
