The Walk to End Alzheimer's needs talented individuals to share their gifts in helping us create a world without Alzheimer's disease!

Volunteers are vital to our success in helping over 53,000 people in Central & Western Kansas currently suffering from this incurable disease and their over 180,000 caregivers.

From advocay, to recruiting local committee volunteers, the Walk to End Alzheimer's needs you!


Event Co-Chair
The Event Co-Chair assists the Event Chair with recruiting, training and leading the committee while focusing on reaching Walk goals. This position supports and enhances the Event Chair’s role and can step in when the Event Chair is unable to attend a meeting, event or activity.

Sponsorship Chair
The Sponsorship Chair serves as the primary lead for recruiting new event sponsors, as well as strengthening relationships with existing ones. This position will assemble a subcommittee that will identify opportunities to engage the business community in the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association and participate in Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Team Recruitment Chair
The Team Recruitment Chair serves as the primary lead for recruiting new Walk teams and executing the New Team Kickoff Event. This position will assemble a subcommittee that can recruit new teams from all sectors of the community and provide fundraising guidance to new Team Captains.

Team Retention Chair
The Team Retention Chair serves as the primary lead for retaining prior Walk teams and increasing the team retention rate. This position will assemble a subcommittee that will make Team Captains feel supported and important by implementing the Team Captain Engagement Plan. They are also responsible for executing the Past Team Registration Event and Walk Celebration Party.

Marketing & Outreach Chair
The Marketing & Outreach Chair serves as the primary lead for creating awareness of the disease through the promotion of Walk to End Alzheimer’s. This position will assemble a subcommittee to build public awareness of Walk through local media outlets, social media and grassroots marketing efforts.

AIM-Advocacy Chair
The AIM-Advocacy Chair serves as the primary lead for recruiting Alzheimer’s Impact Movement (AIM) members throughout the Walk planning process. The AIM-Advocacy Chair will assemble a committee to recruit new AIM members and advocates from all sectors of the community.

Mission Chair
The Mission Chair serves as the primary lead for connecting the community and participants to the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association throughout Walk season. This position will assemble a subcommittee to lead the Champions and Grand Champions Club program and to promote core mission elements, including TrialMatch(r), programs and support, and the Promise Garden.

Logistics Chair
The Logistics Chair serves as the primary lead for all Walk-day logistical needs. This position will assemble a subcommittee to ensure that all event-day components, including the start/finish line, opening ceremony and walk route, are well-planned and that participants have an excellent event experience from the parking lot to the finish line.

To advocate by advising federal and state legislators and agencies about the disease and it's impact on society.
