Volunteers are wanted to assist with kids activities during a Halloween party - a free event featuring costume and coloring contests, trick or treating, and more! This event takes place at our community center in Lakeland (Wabash area). Space is limited (20 positions available).

All activities will ad hear to the CDC guidelines. Volunteers will receive a mask and gloves. Hand Sanitizer stations will placed throughout the event.

Our mission is to provide safe, clean parks and facilities for citizens and visitors to experience leisure, recreation, and educational opportunities.


Polk County Parks & Recreation provides the community with safe, fun, and low-cost or free recreation and events throughout the year. We produce over 30 special events every year at various parks and venues, and operate a camp during the summer. We rely on the support of volunteers to continue providing the community with these recreational opportunities. For questions or more information, please call (863) 534-6911.
