Please visit the new page to apply.
Adults 55 plus are needed to tutor students at Heritage Elementary School in Thompson Station.
Friends Learning in Pairs (FLIP), an inter-generational tutoring program of FiftyForward RSVP, needs volunteers to tutor Kindergarten through fourth-grade students who are at least one grade level behind in their reading and comprehension skills.
FLIP volunteers support students through weekly, one-on-one tutoring sessions. Tutors are assigned the same students for the entire year, so they able to follow their student's progress.
FLIP provides training materials, and ongoing support. A professional background is not required. Initial orientation for volunteer placement occurs at a FiftyForward Center.
Join FLIP and help our students become confident and successful readers! A child is waiting on your friendship.
