Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats has a special volunteer opportunity for high school students on our TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release) team. This team usually comes for two hours a week to make sure that all our TNR supplies are prepped and ready for each trapping event--this includes cleaning the traps and stocking the TNR kits with everything they need. The team will also keep a running inventory of our supplies so that we know when to restock certain items.
TNR is a humane way of trapping feral cats and stabilizing the homeless cat population. We get the cats fixed so that they will not continue to reproduce, and we release them back to their colony to live out their lives. If you want to learn more about TNR, you can read a little more about it on our website www.kittybungalow.org under the "Truancy" tab.
And a fun perk of this role is that, after each shift, you can spend some cuddle time with the kittens in the Bungalow! You don't even have to scoop poop or anything.
The TNR Preppers usually come from 3:30-6 PM on Mondays and/or Fridays, but there is flexibility if those hours don't work for you. Please pop us an e-mail and tell us a bit about yourself and why you're interested in volunteering with Kitty Bungalow!
