Educate, Enlighten & Inspire California's Future
The Museum is seeking volunteers to assist in engaging over 125,000 annual visitors through our education and public programs! Flexible hours are available, training provided and benefits include free museum memberships, discounts at the Museum Store, invitations to volunteer appreciation events and much more!
To join the California Museum’s team of volunteers, first attend a Volunteer Open House to learn about current opportunities, including summer camp internships. The Volunteer Open House is offered bi-annually in January and August. If you are interested in receiving notification of our next Open House or would like more information about our volunteer program, please submit an online application using the form below or email volunteer@californiamuseum.org.

Description
The California Museum offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for anyone with an interest in California history, art and culture available throughout the week in flexible 2 hour intervals. Volunteers are instrumental in making the Museum experience memorable for over 125,000 visitors each year, in positions ranging from gallery guides, special events, and more. Benefits include free a Museum membership after 40 hours of volunteer service, a discount in Museum Store, free event attendance and the opportunity to help the Museum meet its mission to educate, enlighten and inspire visitors with California history, arts and culture.
