About

Make a big impact in someone's life! Help adults learn to speak English by serving one morning each week.

We are recruiting adult volunteers with excellent English language skills to teach and assist at our office in Chamblee. Classes begin in January and end before Memorial Day. The commitment we seek from volunteers is to be in a classroom once a week for two hours: 10:30AM to 12:30PM. Preparation takes about an hour.

The students attend class two mornings a week, Tuesday and Thursday, for three hours each morning. The students are with the lead instructor from 9:30 to 10:30AM, in one large group. Then they are divided into smaller groups, based on their ability to speak English, and taught by volunteers for the last two hours. During this time, our goal is for the students to speak as much as possible.

We have two possible orientation dates scheduled for people interested in volunteering:
Wednesday evening, June 21st 6:00PM to 9:00PM
Wednesday evening, July 12th 6:00PM to 9:00PM
