People volunteer for a number of different reasons, but mostly because it's a way of giving back. They work on behalf of others without payment for their time and services, In return, hospice volunteers meet people, learn new skills, build relationships, make connections, and improve quality of life for others during the last phases of life.

Our purpose is to privide comfort, compassion, dignity, and peace to terminally ill patients and their families, through a holistic approach to physical, spiritual and emotional care, by professionally trained hospice teams and specialized community resources.
Description
Visit with the patient/family (companionship).
Listen to and support the patient/family.
Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation and errands.
Bake, make lap quilts, blankets or bibs.
Read a book or sing a song.
Assist with administrative duties in the office (answer phones, filing, etc).
