Dive into the world of aviation and experience the future of flight with us.
We are seeking volunteers for our Event Team to ensure an enjoyable experience at our special events. Greet and help with the details that are necessary for our high-caliber program.
Whether you are an introvert or extrovert, we want you! Just need to have a love for helping, interest in working at celebrations/events or simply have a passion for aviation or space.
Our events include:
- Summer Nights, July 8 to September 2, 2016: A social evening upon the Future of Flight Strato Deck with live music, planes, sights and food.
- Gala & Auction, October 15, 2016: An elegant evening where guests will receive a catered meal, bid on select auction items and support the Institute of Flight's programs.
By working multiple events, you may earn a membership to the Institute of Flight with 20+ hours volunteered.
Ideal volunteers are reliable, dependable and have great follow-through. We are seeking a one-year committment to three of our 10 events. Volunteer roles include:
- Greeters - check tickets of our guests in the lobby, answer questions, and encourage visitors to sign up and become a member. We will provide an iPad and training.
- Event logistics - Assist with event planning and operations during the event. This is reserved for volunteers who have shown they can support our Membership Coordinator in various projects and lead small teams.
- Event blogger - document events occurring through the night with use of pre-determined hashtags.
- Steering Committee - You may help with the planning of the event.

Description
The Institute of Flight is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit that serves as the operator of the Future of Flight Aviation center and Boeing Tour facility, which is owned by Snohomish County.
Our role is to strengthen and deepen the visitor experience and provide hands-on STEAM related educational programs to Snohomish County students. We are able to achieve this due to the generosity of our partners, sponsors, members and donors.
The Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour debuted in Fall 2005 as a unique aviation interpretive center and the home of the Boeing Tour, their Everett WA assembly plant.
The Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour offers a remarkable opportunity to see both commercial jet production today and the direction aviation is headed in the future. The Future of Flight Aviation Center Gallery features hands-on exhibits, videos, meeting and conference space and spectacular viewing of planes from that take-off and land at Paine Field on a daily basis.
