Court Monitoring Data Entry Volunteer Job Description

Position Title: Court Monitoring Data Entry Volunteer

Reports To: Court Monitoring Project Specialist

Purpose/Goal of Position: To support the MADD Texas State Court Monitoring program by assisting with data entry assistance and other clerical duties as required.

Qualifications/Skills Needed

  • Must have a strong attention to detail
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality as required and appropriate

Duties and Responsibilities

The Court Monitoring Data Entry Volunteer will:

  • Keep track of received data and documents
  • Input collected data into an electronic spreadsheet or database
  • Ensure that all data is entered accurately
  • Review all information entered and make corrections where necessary
  • Maintain confidentiality of all data entered
  • Perform other clerical duties as required

Qualifications Needed:

  • Detail oriented and committed to meeting deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Works well independently and as part of a team Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of database programs an asset

Time Period

  • This position requires a minimum 3 month commitment for an average of 2-3 hours per week during office hours (Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm).
  • Weekly work hours will vary, and will depend on timing of organizational commitments and deadlines. # Days/ Hours per week: Negotiable
