This is NOT a translation project! After training, our volunteers use Googlebooks advanced search and Google Ngram to find online versions of books which are part of the treasure trove of French writing about India. They then send their search results to the project team for checking and uploading. It is so rewarding to use online searching skills to find a book, sometimes published many hundreds of years ago and hidden in a European library and then to help make it accessible to readers and scholars around the world. You will see that these books are beautiful objects and deserve to be known by all.
We are entirely flexible as far as volunteering hours are concerned, as long as volunteers can contribute an average of 1-2 hours per week on average for a minimum of six months.
