Nurse/Medical Supplies Coordinator

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Project CURE

In Mbingo, Cameroon, a young mother dies at night, alone, because the hospital does not have the supplies to treat her, or the equipment to know that she is in cardiac arrest. In Sudan, doctors lack scalpels and blades. One doctor reports using the lid of a tin can to perform surgical procedures - with no anesthesia. Project C.U.R.E. collects thousands of pounds of donated medical supplies and equipment from medical manufacturers, hospitals, surgery centers and clinics. The majority of these items are new and overstocked supplies that are the result of renovation, replacement, re-orders or retirement. We ship this supplies and equipment to developing countries all over the world.

The Nurse/Medical Supplies Coordinator helps by idenitifying surplus medical supplies, biomed accessories and surgical instruments so that they might be sorted into appropriate catagories. The Coordinator assists with quality control of inventory management.

Save lives by assuring that supplies are correctly packaged and inventoried. Pack instruments that will next be opened and used by third world colleagues to save lives: directly from you to them.
