The Springs in Bloom flower bed adoption program seeks individuals, families, clubs and businesses to adopt flower beds located throughout Colorado Springs. You can help create community by putting together a team of volunteers to participate!

Flower beds are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department will provide the flowers free of charge to all volunteer adopter groups. Flower bed adopters will take responsibility for planting and maintaining the beds throughout the summer, per guidelines provided by the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department.

Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services will serve resients and visitors through stewardship of distinctive cultural, natural and recreation resources; provisions of exceptional facilities and programs; and effective leadership and collaboration for the vitality and economic health of our community.

Description

The Parks Department includes 135 neighborhood parks, 7 community parks, 7 regional parks, 58 tennis courts, 55 soccer fields, 103 miles of urban trails and 13,000 acres of open space.

Additioanlly, the Department offers recreation opportunities through youth and adult sports, community centers, therapeutic recreation, Sertich ice center and golf courses.

The cultural services of the Department extends to the Pioneers Museum, Rock Ledge Ranch living history museum, the City Auditorium, and park visitors centers.

The parks and outdoor spaces add value to our property and indirectly generate tax revenue for our city government. They attract visitors from outside the region and allow us to position ourselves as a great place to come and play by creating an overall quality of life that makes our city a desirable place to live, work and raise our families.
