The Board Treasurer manages MTC's assets. Along with the Morton Theatre staff and the Executive Committee, this individual maintains a bookkeeping system, reviews and authorizes all expenditures, prepares and monitors budgets for specific projects and fundraising, prepares and sends financial reports, reviews financial policies for the box office operation, transports financial data to the accounting firm, presents the audited accounts at the Annual Meeting, and ensures required annual tax documents are prepared by the accounting firm and filed in a timely manner.
In addition this individual records all donations, working with appropriate committee chair to keeps track of donors, and send thank you letters and year-end tax acknowledgements.
