Become a Shift Manager at the HGP Store, make money for HGP!
- A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
Hello everyone! We're recruiting volunteers for our gift store in downtown Santa Cruz! Our store provides a massive amount of funding for our program, enabling us to hire new homeless men and women each year. Volunteers are essential for getting customers (especially tourists) into the store and promoting our products.
Ideally, it would be great to have people working with us through the end of the year. Starting November 13th, the store is open every day of the week, and we really need the assistance! We're holding four short volunteer orientations at the beginning of the holiday season. At the orientation, we'll show people how to sign up for shifts using a handy app that can be accessed online and on your phone. The orientation dates are TBD.
If this is something you might consider, feel free to email Emily at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the office at (831) 426-3609.
The time you volunteer with us will result in monetary support for HGP and will contribute to our programs and services. Thank you for your support!
About Homeless Garden Project
0 Shaffer Road, Santa Cruz, CA 95060, US
In the soil of our urban farm and garden, people find the tools they need to build a home in the world.
The Homeless Garden Project provides job training, transitional employment and support services to men and women experiencing homelessness.
By bringing people together from throughout our community in the beauty and security of our certified 3.5-acre organic garden, we hope to break down the isolation and stigmas associated with homelessness.
We practice and teach principles of economic and ecological sustainability through classes and hands-on experience.
We invite you to the Garden from dawn to dusk. Enjoy a moment or a day away from your busy lives, take a stroll in our garden, volunteer one morning or participate in a long-term project.
