The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. As this natural disaster unfolds, the staff here at VolunteerMatch is doing its part to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you are prepared and safe. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know about the most effective ways to contribute.
Various Locations North County MOSaint Louis, MO63136
We are looking for Patient Companionship Volunteers at Kindred Hospice to visit patients on hospice residing in the North County MO area.
During these visits volunteers may read to patients, write letters for them, play music, games, share conversation and hobbies or simply hold their hand so they are not alone. Just be with the patient. Add to the quaility of care during the end of a patient's life journey.
Comprehensive training and orientation for hospice volunteering is provided. Military experience is helpful but not necessary. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply and serve patients as Veterans to Veterans Volunteers. If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact Corrie Johnson, Manager of Volunteer Services 314-275-6100 or Corinne.Johnson@gentiva.com. We look forward to hearing from you.
I believe in helping others as a hospice volunteer.
