As a tour guide for the German Village Society you can lead groups of all sizes through Columbus's oldest historic district. You can choose to specialize in any of our tour offerings: Parks and Gardens, Children's Scavenger Hunts, Standard History Tour, or Gay Pioneers of German Village. Description
German Village is the first recognized historic district in Columbus, Ohio and our entire 233 acres have been placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. German Village is a vibrant neighborhood positioned in the heart of Columbus. The challenge of preserving the architectural heritage of German Village is the principal concern of the German Village Society, the Non-profit educational organization founded by Frank Fetch in 1960. This Tenacious, imaginative, and dedicated membership organization has been instrumental in while creating a thriving an vital twenty first century community.
