Come join a group of Christian volunteers working toward the same goal! Joshuacord is a non profit focused on raising awareness and support for Christians who are persecuted for their faith across the world. We are located in the Tampa, FL area and are starting to plan our 2nd Joshua 1:9 Freedom 5K taking place in December 2014. You can view details from last year's 5K @ www.joshuacord.org/5k. We are looking to add Volunteer Committee Members who have a passion for helping others and are a Christian. We would love for you to help! We are looking for assistance with the following areas:
- Event planning
- Logistics
- Corporate partnership / sponsorship
- Volunteer recruitment
- Communications/PR
- Pacers
- More...
If you have an interest we probably have a place for you!
Committee meetings are held monthly (most via conference call) and are typically after work in the evening or over the weekend at a time convenient for the group. If you cannot attend most meetings you may still be able to greatly help with the race!

Mission Statement
Our mission is to help those who are being persecuted for their Christian faith. The lack of religious freedom is an issue in many countries across the world, especially for Christians. Unfortunately more than 150,000 Christians are persecuted every year for their faith. Our primary focus is in the Middle East and Africa - starting with the following four regional areas in critical need.
1. Afghanistan
2. Egypt
3. Nigeria
4. Somalia
Description
We are a non-profit with three goals:
- Educate people across the world about the oppression and persecution of Christians across the world, with an intial focus on Afghanistan, Egypt, Nigeria and Somalia.
- Advocate for the persecuted and oppressed Christians who are unable to help themselves.
- Activate Christians across the world to stand united and share the love of Christ, our blessings, and prayers with our brothers and sisters being persecuted for Jesus Christ and the Gospel.
