Before the advent of CAD computers, automobiles were designed with the hands of creative designers using natural elements such as clay, paper, pencils or watercolors. Preserving the artistic renderings and social impact is important for future generations to understand how cars have evolved into the technological wonders they are today.
The AACA Museum Inc. of Hershey, is in need of volunteers to help us digitize a massive paper archive collection that ranges from automotive blueprints to oral histories. Help preserve advertisements, field notes, ledgers, personal letters, photo albums, manuscripts, renderings stories and other delicate paperwork that help shaped the automotive industry.
About the Program
The Collections Digitization project operates out of the AACA Museum Inc of Hershey, Pennsylvania.Digitization program runs Monday - Fridays from 9AM - 4PM. The ability to commit to a designated day and time is required to ensure access to computer resources. Archive scanning can only be conducted from the AACA Museum Inc.
