Friends of READ/Orange County is hosting a picnic at Katie Wheeler Park to recognize the dedicated volunteer tutors & their adult learners who work all year long teaching/learning basic literacy skills necessary to achieve their goals. Help us celebrate their lifelong learning efforts & achievements. Volunteers (groups or individuals) are needed to accomplish this. Please join us at the Katie Wheeler Library in Irvine to help us serve food, play games & celebrate lifelong learning successes with our adult learners & tutors that are changing lives & communities throughout OC every day!

Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions.
