UC Berkeley Group

Rebuilding Together East Bay-North (RTEBN) provides free critical home repairs for low-income seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities.

We are actively seeking volunteers with trade skills or handyman experience. A few examples of skills include carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and roofing experience to help with some of the repairs that we do in the homes of our clients.

Because of COVID-19, we are limited in the repairs we can do and the number of people we can have on site at one time. We are focusing mainly on exterior work. Indoor work may be possible if every person on site is vaccinated, including both volunteers and homeowners.

For the workdays, you would be working with other volunteers to do work including installing hand rails, grab bars, repairing gates and fences, installing exterior doors, electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, tile work, flooring, lock installations, and more

If you are RRP-Certified to do Lead Paint work, you are especially needed!

Please contact our office by phone or email, and sign up for a project!
