Volunteer lunch servers needed - Wellesley Council on Aging
The Council on Aging serves lunch to senior citizens four days/week (Tuesdays through Fridays). By giving two hours of your time, you can make a difference to our daily lunch group. Not only will you have the satisfaction of helping, but you will also learn and be entertained by our luncheon guests on a variety of subjects!
Prepared meals are delivered to the Council on Aging from a local restaurant -- volunteers are not responsible for any meal preparation. Responsibilities include setting up, serving, doing a light clean-up and interacting with guests. Volunteer "shifts" are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to approximately 1:00 p.m.
**All volunteers of the Council on Aging must clear a CORI (Criminal Offense Record Inquiry).
** The Council on Aging (COA) is required by law to conduct a CORI (Criminal Offense Record Inquiry) check on volunteers and employees, pursuant to M.G.L. c. 6, s 172C, which requires an agency conduct a CORI check on volunteers and prospective employees who have particular duties and responsibilities relative to the elderly and /or disabled under specific conditions set forth in the law.
