Delight a senior by talking about old times and new things! You will receive much more than you give.

Volunteers provide companionship for Patients who are on hospice care at communities throughout Austin and the surrounding area. Or in their individual homes. Volunteers contribute at least 4 hours per month visiting their assigned residents at least one hour per week. They can reminisce, read, play music, or just be there for the resident and their caregiver. At no cost to the volunteer, background checks are required as well a 2- step TB test, drug screen. Volunteers must also interview and receive training. Volunteers will learn about hospice care and enrich the lives of seniors. Volunteers will also meet team members such as nurses, chaplains, and social workers. Also we write letters for our patients 2 times a month.
