Mission Statement
Since 1982, Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Central Florida has helped thousands of families from all over the world stay close to their hospitalized child. Our Ronald McDonald House program is built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their child - not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head at night to rest.
Description
OUR TWO MAIN PROGRAMS
Ronald McDonald House in Gainesville, Florida provides temporary housing, basic amenities and support to families with critically ill children being treated at area medical facilities.
Ronald McDonald Family Room located at Shands UF Children's Hospital on the 10th floor, adjacent to the pediatric intensive care unit, provides comfort and support to local families who do not need to stay overnight at the Ronald McDonald House, or to out-of-town families who choose not to leave the hospital because of the fragile condition of their child.
