Looking for a fun one-day volunteer opportunity? Want to make a difference in the fight to end breast cancer? The 21st Annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure will be held on October 1st, 2016 at the Empire State Plaza in Albany, New York. The 5K Run and Walk begins at 9:00 am on Madiso Avenue. Volunteers are needed for Race Day and to help us with various set ups and preparations the week leading up to the race. There are a variety of jobs available. All volunteers recieve a volunteer t-shirt. We also provide coffee and snacks for volunteers on the morning of the race.

Description
Susan G. Komen for the Cure is a multinational grassroots organization dedicated to ending breast cancer. We are rated by Charity Navigator as a four star charity. Our primary need for volunteers centers on our race planning committee and the Race for the Cure in Albany, NY. The race this year is on Saturday, October 3, 2009. The race planning committee starts meeting in late March/early April.
