Freedom Fair on Ruston Way!

Tacoma Events Commission continues a nearly 40-year tradition by producing Tacoma's annual 4th of July celebration -- Freedom Fair. This event is not possible without the enthusiastic support of nearly 250 volunteers. Are you one of those volunteers?

To volunteer, please go to www.FreedomFair.com, click on "Volunteers" and fill out the application, specifying the team and shift you'd like to work.

Shifts are 6 am - noon, noon - 6 pm, and 6 pm - midnight.

There are many volunteer positions available -- have you found the one for you? Check out this list to see what's available:

Access Control -- work one of the three entrances, encourage festival attendees to make a voluntary donation to support this annual community event

Logistics - distribute and set-up equipment needed along the entire venue (tables, chairs, pop-up tents, donation barrels, staging, signage, etc). Return and store all equipment after the event.

Refuse Rangers - patrol venue to keep trash picked up and disposed of properly.

Dispatch/Transportation - Distribute radios & golf carts, monitor event radios. Operate shuttle carts on venue.

Hospitality - manage VIP reception area, check in guests, set-up meals, keep area clean.
