Volunteer this summer!!!!
Now in our 13th year - The SON Ministries Summer Lunch Camp at multiple locations throughout Hilliard. Volunteer opportunities are available in both the morning and afternoon. There are multiple ways for you to be involved and to experience the joy of serving children facing suburban poverty in our community!

Opportunities to Volunteer with Children:
College/Adult Interns - Great experience working with children in need in a multi-cultural environment.
High School (Teen) Interns - (finished 9th grade and up) Exceptional opportunity to develop leadership/communication/teamwork. Volunteer commitment of 4 - 9 weeks, you choose which weeks. Contact Trish Barnett at tbarnett@son-ministries.org
Small Group Opportunity - Form a group (3-10 people) of adults or youth plus chaperones to experience the joy of serving children in need in our community. Learn how to build cross-national/socioeconomic relationships. Serve lunch and help run fun recreational activities. Contact Trish Barnett at tbarnett@son-ministries.org
Lunchtime Opportunity - Serve children a healthy lunch and visit with them 1 full week or 1 day per week over the summer, 1 hours per day.
Adult Camp Volunteer - Spend time with the children in camp activities and over lunch. Commit to a full week(s) or a fixed day weekly to allow relationships to be formed with the children and a volunteer/staff team. Fun and rewarding experience with lasting impact for you and the children.
Family Opportunity - Adults may bring their children with them to interact with the other children and build community. Children are the responsibility of the parent while on site.
Special Guest Opportunity - For one day, share your profession or hobby (ex: craft, playing an instrument or a sport) with the children. Contact Julie Comer at jcomer@son-ministries.org to discuss further.

Festa is a grassroots movement of friends and family serving our neighbors to overcome poverty in our communities. Festa is an experience for everyone; it’s a community of caring friends. The more diverse we are, the stronger we can be. Together, we gather in our homes, we recognize the challenges of struggling families, and we celebrate our collective efforts to change lives.
Our three pillars: to feed, educate, and serve. By providing resources such as 3-Generation Family ESL to families and Summer Lunch Camps for children, Festa programming offers motivated neighbors the opportunity to better provide for their families.
