Volunteers are needed to help create an inviting and welcoming atmosphere by communicating with and building relationships with members moving them from a casual attitude to committed involvement from the moment they step foot in the door.
Tasks may include:
- Answer telephones
- Greet members upon entering facility, ensuring that they scan their ID cards. Monitor and document all visitors in building
- Conduct tours and answer membership questions
- Help ensure member satisfaction
- Practice high-quality member service at all times
- Report concerns and problems to supervisor
- Assist with maintaining order and cleanliness in main lobby/front desk and cafe

**All Volunteers MUST have a background check before they are allowed to work around children. The Raritan Bay Area YMCA offers Background Checks at no cost to the volunteer. Results must be received before volunteer service on site is allowed.
