Our Cavy Savvy Wheekers are the ones who share information about 21st century guinea pig care. You help current and potential guinea pig owners understand and implement the latest care methods for their guinea pig. You also help your community members understand the importance of quality care and how it affects the quality and quantity of life for their guinea pig(s).
This volunteer opportunity requires you to have an open learning mind, great communication skills and ability to converse with others in a respectful manner. Topics can be controversial and your ability to remain calm and fact oriented is a very important skill too.
You do not need any previous guinea pig knowledge although it is very helpful. We can teach you everything you need to know but cannot teach you attitude, which must be positive and helpful.
Your volunteer daily tasks will include but not limited to: helping with adoptions, handing out flyers to local businesses and homes, speaking at public events, helping at community events/expos, and attending local events to promote Crazy Cavies and guinea pig care.

Crazy Cavies Guinea Pig Rescue Inc. was founded on March 18, 2008 in the state of Florida. We are a registered non-profit charitable organization in the State of Florida and also a non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization registered with the IRS. Crazy Cavies Guinea Pig Rescue educates the public about guinea pigs, provides a temporary safe haven for abandoned guinea pigs, and finds quality forever homes for guinea pigs. We partner with other organizations to stop the unnecessary euthanasia of guinea pigs.
