It’s that time of year again, the Charles Village Festival is coming! The Charles Village Festival is on Friday, May 31 from 6:00-9:00pm and Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2 from 10:45am-5:45pm. Food, drinks, art, and clothing vendors from all around Baltimore will set up shop in the neighborhood, alongside entertainers and performers, to create an unforgettably festive summer weekend for the community. All proceeds from the event benefit local organizations, including the Village Learning Place.
The VLP has participated in the festival for many years, acting as the kids’ activities station. We provide
games on the lawn, face painting, and the famous moon bounce.
We are in need of volunteers throughout the weekend. Ideally, we ask that volunteers commit to at least one two-to-three-hour shift, but you may sign up for more! Plus, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your shift to help with shift transitions. We need support during the following days and times:
Friday:
5-6 pm: Set-up Shift
5:45-9:30: Event Shifts (varying time frames within the event parameters)
Saturday:
9-11 am: Set-up Shift
10:45am-2:30pm: Event Shift 1
2:15-5:45: Event Shift 2
Sunday:
7:30-10:30 am: 5k Race Marshall
9-11 am: Set-up Shift
10:45am-2:30pm: Event Shift 1
2:15-5:45: Event Shift 2
