Do you know what harmful contaminants are in your water? How it gets there? What effect it has on your families and environment? Save the Water(tm) (STW(tm)) is the one looking for answers.

STW(tm) is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to conduct water research to identify and remove harmful contaminants in water; and to raise public awareness about water contamination and its health impacts. STW also offers educational programs to excite young minds about water science.


Our volunteers are diverse professionals from all over the world bringing their knowledge and experience to STW because we care deeply about our communities and water resources. We learn and collaborate in an open and empowering work environment to find long term solutions to water contamination problem. Our vision is "Contamination free, healthy water for all"

Save the Water(tm) is seeking Associate Grant Writer who can write with a passion that will bring attention to a cause you believe in. You have excellent writing, research, and analytic skills? If you are a passionate grant writer - STW(tm) is looking for YOU to join our Fundraising Group.


You will have opportunity to work with the directors of Save the Water to help develop and create grant proposals relating to our mission. Working closely with the Fundraising team and the overall strategy of the organization, you work forwards gaining success in awarded grants.


Associates are expected to put in a minimum of 5 hours per week and be responsive to emails within three (3) calendar days.

Responsibilities:

  • Create grant proposals/applications and supporting documents outlining the description of STW projects.

  • Search out applicable grants available for STW mission (including Education /Science Research)

  • Contact and interact with Grant Funders of the proposal.

  • Develop budget list for programs and services for the grant.

  • Write grants applications appropriate for STW ensure deadlines are met.

  • Strive to attain maximum success rate on applications vs awards


Desired Skills & Knowledge:


  • Experience in grant writing and developing revenue preferred.

  • Experience in Foundation grants preferred.

  • Solid understanding of the grant writing for NP

  • Strong communication skills both written & oral
