John our California Desert Tortoise

Work with our wonderful non-releasable wildlife and educational animals by becoming an Animal Care Volunteer with the Chico Creek Nature Center! Duties include feeding and clean up duty. You will also learn how to handle most of the animals. We have animals such as hawks, snakes, owls, a tortoise, turtles, and more! Fall in love with these amazing animals and help us care for them and give them a happy, healthy life at our Living Animal Museum. Volunteer schedules are flexible; we do require at least 1 day a week set schedule. In addition if you are over the age of 18 yrs old you will be required to have a background check at no cost to you if selected to be a volunteer. Please E-mail info@bidwellpark.org for more information on becoming a volunteer! Thank you for your interest!
