Looking for a great way to stay active and give back to the community? Look no further than the Nearly New Sale at GBMC! Sponsored by the GBMC Volunteer Auxiliary, this event is held two times per year in the Spring and Fall. The Nearly New Sale has been held at GBMC since 1966 and raises approximately $250,000 per year, all of which goes to support patient care at GBMC.

Volunteers assigned to Nearly New help out by receiving gently used items from the public. This includes unpacking, inspecting, pricing and displaying items in the various departments of the sale. On sale days, our volunteers man the registers, restock merchandise and assist customers with their purchases.

The typical volunteer schedule at Nearly New is very flexible. Volunteers usually help 4 hours a week in the morning, Monday through Thursday and/or the 1st and 3rd Saturday each month. During the Sale, volunteers give as many hours as possible. Our Nearly New Volunteers are a dedicated and hardworking team. They take great pride in the Nearly New Sale and their efforts make a tremendous difference in the lives of our patients and community!
