Then consider joining the elite team in here at North County Community Food Bank! Share your greatest belly laugh, positive energy, and your terrific abilities to brighten the lives of individuals who are struggling. Use your amazing talents to give others hope and a ray of sunshine in a desperate situation.
Drivers and drivers helpers pick up the daily food items from local area grocery stores. These food donation items are then brought back to the food bank, unloaded and stocked for daily distribution to those living in poverty throughout North Clark County.
Brighten the world around you while helping others and you'll feel wonderful yourself! The driving team is a critical part of our morning routine, helping the stores get these items off of their shelves and in the hands of those in need, so they can keep stocking their daily inventory that is delivered. Assist our fabulous team with everything from stocking shelves, repackaging food items and pet foods, aiding seniors, homeless and those in crisis. Make a difference in the lives of others, and you'll change your own at the same time through giving.
We are adhering to social distancing requirements in order to keep our volunteers as well as our clients safe at all times. Curbside service is offered to clients twice per month. Masks are required to be worn by all volunteers. Disinfection and sanitizing are routinely performed throughout each shift.

Description
The North County Community Food Bank is involved with distributing emergency food supplies to low income families. We assist clients providing one food box per month. Tasks include stocking and inventory, rotation, preparation of food boxes, freezer boxes, produce bags, dairy bags, repackaging bulk grains and pastas, cleaning, donation pickups from area businesses and private citizens throughout the area.
Fundraising activities are coordinated throughout the year to help with the organization's major expense purchasing food supplies. Grants, estate gifts and donations are accepted.
The NCCFoodBank is focused on finding a larger building or property on which a new facility can be established. This facility would provide onsite space to hold the educational programming currently offered as well as additional classes being offered evenings and weekends. Topics addressed for our clients includes: financial planning and management, budgeting, resume writing, job skills, interviewing and many other life skills topics. In addition, the organization partners with the others to offer courses in which our clients can learn how to cook healthier meals, stretch their grocery dollars, plan their weekly menus, grow their own fresh produce, and much more.
