Mission Statement

Empower individuals with disabilities to achieve their highest level of independence and employment and to live with dignity and purpose through the provision of unique educational, training, and employment services

Description

For over 70 years, U&I has strived to assist individuals with disabilities and other marginalized segments within our communities to achieve their optimum level of employment, education, and independence. Through the training, advocacy, and support that we provide, individuals with disabilities, including veterans with disabilities, are able to develop essential work and life skills, access their desired job opportunities, and end the exclusion of their voice and value within society. Last year, we made a difference in the lives of over 1,000 individuals with disabilities, including high school students, homeless veterans and impoverished adults being dismissed, left out and overlooked.
