Great Lakes Caring Hospice, a leading care provider in the Midwest, is looking to add volunteers to our team. We are searching for volunteers who are passionate about making a difference, self-motivated, brimming with creativity and up for a challenge.
While Great Lakes Caring Hospice does offer opportunities for volunteers to visit with hospice patients outside of the office walls, we are also seeking driven volunteers to help within our office. We have basic clerical tasks available such as assistance with data entry, mailings, scanning and filing, and we are also looking for skilled individuals to help with additional projects.
Computer and internet skills are a plus! We are looking for volunteers with knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.) Volunteers should be detail oriented, well-organized, dependable, and able to work well both collaboratively and independently.
Office hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm; within that time frame we are flexible with how many hours volunteers can offer, and at what frequency.

Time is limited, yet of eternal value. What makes it so is how you use it and to whom you give it. Share your gift of time with a patient on their end-of-life journey. No special skills are necessary, just a listening ear and an open heart. It will be some of the most rewarding time you’ll ever spend.
Elara Caring Hospice is currently looking for Volunteers: Companion Volunteers, Pet Therapy, Veteran Volunteers, Office Volunteers, and Crafting Volunteers. We have patients in need in outlying areas as well as the Grand Rapids Area. These areas include Grand Rapids, Big Rapids, Wayland/ Hastings, Greenville, Rockford, Holland, and Saugatuck/Douglas.
