ORGANIZATION: School on Wheels

male tutoring

We are currently in need of tutors to volunteer at a local Group Home and help a group of teen boys & girls succeed in school.

Are you looking to make a difference in a child's life? A child without a home needs your help! Due to their transient lifestyles, many of these children miss months of school at a time. Help these kids get back on track by tutoring a student one hour a week. We believe that education is key to breaking the cycle of homelessness.

Volunteers are asked to commit 1 hour a week for a year, tutoring usually happens on Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 7 pm- 8 pm

No experience is necessary - we provide training. The first step to becoming a tutor is to watch a 2-minute orientation video before completing an application. Watch our video here: http://bit.ly/SOWVolunteerMatch
