Financial Professional to Teach Money Management to Caregivers: New Hanover

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Alzheimer's Association

  • 26 people are interested

Alzheimer's Association released a new program called Managing Money: A Caregiver's Guide to Finances that will help people learn about the costs of caregiving and the benefits of early planning and teach attendees how to avoid financial abuse and fraud, start a conversation about finances, assess financial and legal needs and find support. It was partially funded by a 3-year cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services-Administration for Community Living.

We provide the program, you provide the financial management and planning experience and expertise. Ideally this person would deliver the program 4-8 times a year in New Hanover and/or surrounding counties either virtually and/or in-person.

This is a very important service to these families and those diagnosed and not a huge time commitment. The Alzheimer's Association onboarding and training takes about 3-4 hours total and programs are about 2.5-3 hours with Q&A and potential travel time.
