Literacy Volunteers of Illinois (LVI) is seeking to fill a full-time AmeriCorps - Communications and Program Development Program Associate's position in its downtown Chicago office.
Under the direction of LVI's Executive Director and in collaboration with other agency staff the Program Associate will provide support to various agency activities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with using technology and social media outlets to promote LVI’s cause, as well as assist with the administration and maintenance of the agency web site, the development of promotional materials, the solicitation of prizes and silent auction items for the agency's annual fundraisers and conference and special event planning.
Qualifications
- Good interpersonal and writing skills.
- Commitment to community and cause
- Previous volunteer experience, a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, but will consider experience
