Do you like everything ship shape? Like everything labeled and in its place? Is a label maker your favorite toy?
We need a volunteer or volunteers to help us keep our art studio and basement storage areas organized. We have a large team of teachers and students, and sometimes things are not put back where they should be, we run low on certain supplies, or no one has a chance to change that lightbulb.
Two hours a week of organizing supplies, sorting artwork, light maintenance (dusting shelves, sweeping, changing lightbulbs). This will free up our staff to tackle pressing program development and fundraising needs. Our thanks will be endless!
Should be a person who sees what needs to be done, and does it without much supervision.

About Arts Unbound
Location:
544 FREEMAN ST, ORANGE, NJ 07050, US
Mission Statement
Arts Unbound is dedicated to the artistic achievement of people living with disabilities and to the continuing artistic enrichment of seniors. We provide visual arts education and professional development to help emerging artists compete on the retail market. By promoting the work of artists with disabilities and seniors, we center their art-making rather than any impairments and by doing so challenge the stigma associated with disability and aging. Our goals: To promote careers in the visual arts as an option for people with disabilities or special needs. To provide ongoing participatory arts programming to seniors to support their artistic expression and emotional wellbeing. To ensure artists with disabilities have equal access to resources and can express their own creative vision, rather than be isolated or suppressed.
Description
Arts Unbound (AU) is a non-profit organization founded in 2000. In the simplest terms, we are an art gallery and educational art studio for people with disabilities and seniors. Yet what we are doing, through the arts, is challenging the stigma and barriers that keep people with disabilities from participating in the workforce. We are preparing talented individuals to be self-employed, working artists contributing to our community, and our economy.
